Walking With Dinosaurs: The Arena Spectacular or Walking With Dinosaurs: The Live Experience, is an adaptation of the TV Series, for the theatre. The show was narrated by a live actor and the dinosaurs were mechanical props.
Dinosaurs and Other Prehistoric Creatures[]
Totosaurus
Koalanoshanchosuchus
Some of the dinosaurs weigh over a ton, and as you can see in the picture, they are very big.
The Story[]
The story is basically the same as the TV Series - in 'First Blood' however, there is a Liliensternus instead of Coelophysis, and no non-dinosaurs are featured. 'Cruel Sea' is skipped, as it is hard to recreate a scene underwater. 'Beneath a giant's wings' is shortened, due to the reasons as Cruel Sea, and only dead Iguanodons feature. The fifth episode, 'Spirits of the silent forest', is skipped, and 'Death of a Dynasty' is pretty much the same.
Also, a man accompanies us on the journey through time, explaining what's happening in the dinosaur world, similar to the commentator in the TV Series
Tours[]
Walking With Dinosaurs: The Arena Spectacular started in Australia in early 2007 and have after that, toured in North America and Europe.
Making of the Arena Spectacular[]
Of course, the dinosaurs can't move by themselves. Just one dinosaur needs a bunch of people to control it.
