Gigantosaurus (meaning "giant lizard") is a poorly known species, unlike the "King of the Dinosaurs", T-Rex. However, as Gigantosaurus name suggests it was smaller, which made it almost stronger and almost powerful than its cousin.It lived 90mya in what is now South America,in the cretaceous period. Gigantosaurus is the largest carnivorous dinosaur discovered to date (although not the largest carnivorous animal ever, that would be Liopleurodon).

Gigantosaurus preyed on other dinosaurs, and whenever it could, it would attack one of the largest herbivores ever to have walked the earth. Argentinosaurus. Gigantosaurus would charge out and bite Argentinosaurus, and the rotting meat on its teeth would become lodged in the wound. The Argentinosaurus then died of infection. All Gigantosaurus had to do was follow its prey until it died. However, others say that it savaged the herbivore in packs, biting and kicking at its legs until it collapsed, at which point they would go for the throat.
