Fact File
Height= 6 metres
Length= 13 metres
Weight= 5.5 metric tons
Diet = Herbivorous
Prey
Edmontosaurus would have eaten Cretaceous ferns. It was also a favourite meal of the famous T-Rex, due to
its complete inability to defend itself against attack. This inability came from a lack of horns, spines or armour.
In Popular Culture
Edmontosaurus was featured prominently in an episode of the History Channel dinosaur documentary series Jurassic Fight Club. It played a major role in 'Raptor vs. T-Rex' - it was the raptors' prey. It is first shown walking directly into the territory of a pack of Dromaeosaurus. Its smaller, more agile adversaries then continue to launch an endless mirage of attacks, until it finally collapses onto the ground, and dies. Later on, a Tyrannosaurus rex comes along, and tears the tail off of the hadrosaur's carcass, in order to make it more lighter. Then, the Raptor pack is forced to rely only on the tail, and so they then eat only the tail, of the dead Edmontosaurus.
