0Dryosaurus meaning 'oak lizard', due to the vague oak shape of its cheek teeth. It lived in the late Jurassic period. Fossils have been found in the western US and Tanzania and were first discovered in the late 19th century. They were one of the largest of the hypsilophodonts. Like other members of its family, It had long legs that were build for speed, with shin bones that were much longer than its thigh bones. There were three toes on each of its slender feet. They would have been hunted by predators such as Ceratosaurus and Allosaurus.

Dryosaurus also appeared in the special When Dinosaurs Roamed America where it was preyed upon by a Ceratosaurus.

They were also featured in one of the Jurassic Park video games, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis.
